Beautiful Spring Day

It couldn't get much nicer outside and can I mention the wind isn't blowing at all?! We took a walk to see the horses and to the park. Karlie just sat around and put handfuls of rocks into her mouth. Kade climbed, slid and jumped all over the place. Kade is certin we can go for one more walk and to another park after their naps. He's probably right.

30 Year Stitch Record Broken!

That is right, after 30 years I have never had stitches!! But today I broke that perfect record. Kade wanted to finger paint, so away he went while Karlie was having some pears. After both were done I was cleaning up the kitchen. As I was tossing away the trash I shoved everything down and OUCH! I thought I had a bad papercut... not so much. I had pushed everything down right onto the lid of the pear can. After a few phone calls I determined maybe I should have it checked out. I walked out of the clinic with a tetnus shot and 4 lovely stitches. Let me tell you the procedure in the clinic hurt 10X what the cut did. Oh-well, it will heal better now. It was cut to the joint, so I was glad I went. Not a good story for the weak tummy's....

We're back!!

We had a wonderful trip with Jason's family to Disney World! We didn't have any problems or cranky kids ~ it was great! We flew out Wednesday morning. After checking into our hotel we had dinner reservations at Chef Mickey. I would have to say this had to be Kade's favorite part. He was able to meet Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Pluto and Daisy. He had such a great time. On our way back to our hotel we lost Kade for about 15 seconds (which was in my world, an eternity.) Luckily we found him still on the hotel floor and not on a different part of the Monorail. For any of you who have been there know the crowds... it def. taught us that he had to be in a stroller at all times. That night we hit the pool. Our first day to the Magic Kingdom was blue skies!! Our first stop was the famous Dumbo ride and after that it is all a blur! We didn't head back to the hotel until 330, so the kids did really well. We napped and then got ready to go back to the Magic Kingdom. That evening was not very productive or enjoyable for us, but we managed! The next morning we were up early and at the gates when they opened for another beautiful day. We were there until 1pm when it was def. nap time. Us girls had lunch by ourselves which was a real treat. After naptime, we hit the pool for the afternoon. That evening we went back to the Kingdom for the private "Princess and Pirate Party." If you ever go to Disney World and have the opportunity to go to the parks when it is a 'private party' DO IT - we felt we had the park to ourselves! No lines anywhere!!! It was awesome. The kids were able to go on all of the rides all over again and the adults were able to go on Space Mountain a few times!! Our last day we all slept in, packed our bags and lounged at the pool until our bus came to get us! We finally made it back to Nebraska at 11pm night. Here are just a few pics from our vacation, if you'd like to see all of them click here:

Where did he learn that from?

The kids and I went to Dollar General today primarily just to get us out of the house for a bit. While we were strolling through the isles we came across the flashlights. Kade said "Look! Flashlights, Mom!" and I agreed that they were indeed very cool... in which he replied "I don't need one, Mom, I have plenty of these at home!"

Not Feelin' So Hot

Karlie hasn't been feeling so well the last day or two and we thought it was just her teeth coming through - but yesterday she was really fussy and when I would barely touch her ear she would cry. This morning while I was holding her I noticed her inner ear was red! EW! So we got her in right away and she has double ear infection! We got her on some meds and hopefully she'll be back to her normal self real soon! As for brother, he just has a runny nose and hopefully the decongestant will dry that up! Is it going to get warm out soon and dry up all these gross germs?
